A wide variety of sports are available within a radius of 5 Kms; in particular adventure sports and open air activities.

CLIMBING
There is a climbing school, "El Zapatero", in Nieva de Cameros. The name comes From an 80 m rock needle with varying levels of difficulty (IV, VI, VII). It is surrounded by other small monoliths and rock faces, and along with its eagles has a rugged aspect. The school has a long history; original insurance documents verify it as the first to be established in La Rioja

TREKKING & HILL CLIMBING
The GR 93 runs through the village of El Rasillo, and as you would expect, you can walk as much as you like with no danger of getting lost. There are also several hills to climb outside the village. Just 20 Kms. away by car we can reach the Sierra de Cebollera and Urbión, with several peaks of over 2.000 metres and the chance to climb on ice, ski mountaineering and distance skiing.

POT - HOLING
well as the Ortigosa caves, there are 3 cavers prepared for this sport, the caves of Cerrauco, the Sima del Orillalejo ( with a 60 m drop ) and la Sima de San Cristobal (a beautiful cave with a small lake and close to the summit of San Cristobal).

CANOEING
Canoes are available to all on the Rasillo lake, and white waters can be found on the Iregua river (9 Kms. Away).

B.T.T.
As in any mountainous area, there are limitless paths and descents for the practise of this sport.

WATER SPORTS
Providing no use of engined craft is made, one may practise whatever sport you wish. At the Club Naútico you may store sailing boats, canoes and small boats.
Pedal boats and canoes can be hired in June, July and August.
